Peanut Stewart Parnell is a Nut
Peanut Corp. of America owner Stewart Parnell is one of those strange cases that probably deserves worse than the death penalty to set an example. This guy has murdered at least 8 people, caused at least 600 serious illnesses and millions of dollars of costs to other companies in pulling products, sales and reputations. There isn't enough money around this guy to pay back the damages he knowingly caused. His actions put him up there with the worst mass murderers in history. He could have easily killed hundreds of people instead of losing a few sales.
This is just another example of the greed at all costs that comes from the Bush administration and recent Republican viewpoints. They encourage behavior that leads people to die and kill others. Whether knowingly like this guy did or driving people to kill themselves and possibly their families while the executives get high pay offs and extravagant trips. They don't care how many people die, starve, lose jobs or have miserable lives as long as they can make a dollar off it.

Support Our Troops (Now Pay Up)
Another example of the farce that is the worst government administration in US history. If you are a soldier and you get hurt in Iraq before your military commitment is up, the government wants it's money back. They are requesting monies back that were paid to soldiers lying in hospital beds because they didn't serve their whole term.
I can hear those meetings now.
"Hey, lets not pay veterans medical bills. Even better, lets bill them because they didn't stay healthy and fulfill their promise to us."
"Were we going to pay them extra for essentially being drafted, held against their will and forced to serve beyond their agreement?"
"Hell no. Let's just keep them in Iraq. If they get killed, our expenses end. It's these darn guys who are getting limbs blown off that are so expensive and getting harder to hide. There are tens of thousands of them now. Looks like the wealthy are going to need another tax break so they can hire injured veterans."

Bush Commutes the Scooter
Well I knew it was coming one way or another. I didn't know when or exactly how but it was definitely coming. I thought that perhaps Scooter would do a little time before he was given the key to the exit door. President Bush commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby. Instead of prison, he gets all the other penalties of his sentence. $250,000 fines, loss of law license, probation, hunting trips with his former boss, high paying consultant lobbyist gigs. At least he can become a lobbyist and take care of that fine in a few weeks.
